 Vrútky liegt am Zusammenfluss von Váh und Turiec.
Die älteste Erwähung von Vrútky (7.298 Ew.) geht auf 1255 zurück. Ende des 19. Jhs entstand hier ein Verkehrsknotenpunkt der Bahnlinie Košice-Bohumín und der Ungarischen Bahn (MÁV). Die Gebäude reflektieren Vrútkys Geschichte, z.B. die neogotische röm. kath. Kirche Johannes der Täufer (1905), die anstelle der frühgotischen Kirche (13. Jh.) erbaut wurde. Erwähnenswert ist das Gedenkzimmer der Hana Zelinova, eine bedeutende Schriftstellerin. Wichtige Veranstaltungen: Musikfrühling in Vrútky, Jahrmarkt traditioneller Gestaltungskraft und Stadttage. Die Umgebung bietet reichlich Gelegenheit zum Wandern. Angebote im Sommer: Freibad mit erwärmten und filtriertem Wasser; den Radfahrer stehen die Routen Turčianska Magistrála und Turiec-Váh-Fatra zur Verfügung. Im Winter: nahegelegene Skiorte mit guten Unterkunftsmöglichkeiten. |
Vrútky lies at the confluence of the rivers Váh and Turiec. The oldest record of Vrútky (7,298 inhabitants) dates back to 1255. At the end of the 19th century, it became the communications junction of the railway Košice-Bohumín and the Hungarian Railways (MÁV). The buildings reflect the municipal history, e.g. the Neo-Gothic Roman Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist (1905), which replaced the Early-Gothic church (13th century). One of the new memorial places worth mentioning is the Memorial room of Hana Zelinova, who was an important writer. Important events: Music Spring in Vrútky, Vrútky Fair of Traditional Skills, Days of the Town. The surroundings offer many hiking opportunities. In summer, there is an outdoor pool with heated and filtrated water; bikers can cycle on the routes of the Turčianska Magistrála and Turiec-Váh-Fatra. In winter, there are many skiing resorts nearby offering quality accommodation. |
Vrútky (7298 obyvateľov) ležia na sútoku riek Váh a Turiec.
Najstaršia písomná zmienka o Vrútkach je z roku 1255. Koncom 19. stor. sa stali železničným uzlom Košicko-Bohumínskej železnice a železnice MÁV. Históriu mesta možno sledovať na zachovaných budovách, napr. neogotickom rímskokatolíckom Kostole sv. Jána Krstiteľa z r. 1905, ktorý bol postavený na mieste ranogotického kostola z 13. stor., z najnovších pamiatok hodno spomenúť novootvorenú Pamätnú izbu Hany Zelinovej, významnej spisovateľky. Z kultúrno-spoločenských podujatí môžeme spomenúť Vrútockú hudobnú jar, Vrútocký jarmok ľudovej tvorivosti a Dni mesta Vrútky. Okolie Vrútok poskytuje bohaté možnosti turistiky. V lete je k dispozícii letné kúpalisko s ohrievanou a filtrovanou vodou, pre cykloturistov trasy Turčianskou magistrálou a Turčiansko-vážsko-fatranskou cestou. V zime sú v okolí lyžiarske strediská s kvalitnými ubytovacími zariadeniami. |
