 Obec Henckovce leží v doline nivy Slanej.
V obci sa nachádza rímskokatolícky ranogotický kostol z 13. stor., evanjelický barokovo-klasicistický kostol (1798), kúria z konca 18. stor. Podľa zachovaných historických prameňov sa v obci narodil v r. 1803 známy gemerský zbojník Michal Vdovec. |

The village has a Roman Catholic Early-Gothic church (13th century), a Baroque-Classicism Protestant church (1798), and a mansion from the late 18th century. According to the handed down information, the famous bandit Michal Vdovec was born here in 1803. |
