Hurbanovo
 Hurbanovo (8,000 inhabitants) is situated at the warmest spot of the Danubian Lowland between Komárno and Nové Zámky.
Part of the ancient settlement Stará Ďala, which was mentioned already in the 14th century, was the locality of Konkoľ, which after the withdrawal of the Tartar hosts was settled by the Kuns under the leadership of Matej Thege. The famous astronomer and physicist Dr. Mikuláš Konkoly-Thege who founded the renowned observatory and the geophysical and weather station which exist until today, was born here. Also the famous painter Árpád Feszty was born here. Hurbanovo consists of 7 localities - Hurbanovo, Bohatá, Zelený Háj, Vék, Nová Trstená, Holanovo and Konkoľ.

Hurbanovo (8 000 obyv.) leží na najteplejšom mieste Podunajskej nížiny medzi Komárnom a Novými Zámkami.
Usadlosť Stará Ďala, sa spomína od 14. stor. Základ usadlosti tvorí časť Konkoľ, ktorú po odchode tatárskych vojsk osídlili Kuni pod vedením Mateja Thegeho. Z Hurbanova pochádzal známy astronóm a fyzik Dr. Mikuláš Konkoly-Thege, zakladateľ významnej hvezdárne a neskôr aj geofyzikálnej a meteorologickej stanice. Tieto inštitúcie dodnes tu pôsobia. Známym rodákom mesta je aj maliar Árpád Feszty. Hurbanovo tvorí 7 častí: Hurbanovo, Bohatá, Zelený Háj, Vék, Nová Trstená, Holanovo a Konkoľ. |
Hurbanovo (8.000 Ew.) liegt am wärmsten Punkt der Donautiefebene zwischen Komárno und Nové Zámky.
Zum bereits im 14. Jh. erwähnten Anwesen Stará Ďala gehörte auch der Ortsteil Konkoľ, welcher nach dem Abzug der tatarischen Heerscharen von Kunen besiedelt wurde unter der Führung von Matej Thege. Der bekannte Astronom und Physiker Dr. Mikuláš Konkoly-Thege, Begründer der bekannten Sternwarte und der geophysikalischen und meteorologischen Station, welche bis heute in Betrieb sind, wurde hier geboren. Hurbanovo, der Geburtsort des bekannten Malers Árpád Feszty, besteht aus den 7 Ortsteilen Hurbanovo, Bohatá, Zelený Háj, Vék, Nová Trstená, Holanovo und Konkoľ. |
